I have been breeding dogs for many years.  This has really become a family affair with puppies becoming a passion for all of us.   Well, I must admit, we do have a few cats, fish, birds, etc within the family too.  But the dogs have been the driving force behind Barken InStyle.   For many years, the new families that adopted my puppies have asked me to help them get ready for their new puppy.  They wanted me to help guide them to my “favorite” things--things that might make their adoption run more smoothly.  As time has gone by we found that people wanted more than just the bare necessities.  They wanted beautiful things for their wonderful puppies and their homes.  Even though this idea was born after talking to many new Coton de Tulear owners, we love all dogs!

My daughter-in-law, Jodi, was a personal shopper for Neiman Marcus.   One of her many talents is finding the “perfect” thing that would please the people that come to her for help.  She is truly an animal person at heart, so we decided one weekend to try to make this idea a reality.   It didn’t take long for Barken InStyle to be born.  This has become a labor of love for our family.  The best part is we are all working together with a common goal and having a great time doing it together!
